Laura Conway has a winning season wrap up

This Fall Laura Conway has wrapped up her multi-sport season with some fantastic results!
1. Second place Age Group at the Pumpkinman Olympic Distance Triathlon Festival
2. 1st place overall masters team at Ragnar Reach the Beach (joined Coach Karen Mackin's Mixed Super masters Team).  This was quite a team accomplishment as the teams average age was 52yrs old, the team is Coed, AND the team beat ALL teams over 40yrs old, including the 40+ men's teams).

Bill Sheahan has a Breakthrough Ironman at Mont Tremblant

On Sunday, Aug 19, 2018 Bill Sheahan finished his 7th Ironman with PR's across the board (personal records for swim, T1, bike, T2, and run!).  It was an overall 52 minute personal best Ironman time and 55 minutes faster on the same course (Mont Tremblant). Karen Mackin, his Peaks Coaching Group Coach and Bill worked out a race plan using Power on both the bike and the Run. This was the first year of pacing the run using his Stryd Power meter and Bill felt like it was definitely helpful. He said "I just went with the power numbers!" even when the pace might have told him otherwise, he knew in the long run sticking to the power plan would pay off.  And it really did!  Congratulations Bill for the Best Ironman Ever!

The past two weeks were exciting for Lynette Hing who participated in the Singapore national individual time trial and road races.  On July 1st after the ITT, Lynette commented that she wished she paced her time trial better. But looking at the results, you'd wonder why because she won the women's super masters (45yr+) category AND her power was a perfect "smile" (perfectly level in the middle with a little upturn at the beginning and end).  The next weekend, Sunday July 8th, Lynette competed in the Singapore national road race championships on the island of Nongsa, Indonesia and was the 1st Singaporean women super masters, winning a second National title in two weeks! Congratulations Lynette.
